Loni, You have chosen one of my personal favorite time frames for your Disney vacation. The crowds are usually lower than usual in early December, the temperatures are nice and cool, and the parks are dressed to the nine and decked out with beautiful holiday decorations. Not to mention the fact the special holiday offerings, and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, a must-do separate ticketed event taking place on select nights in the Magic Kingdom!
Based on your kid's ages, I think you'll enjoy spending plenty of time in the Magic Kingdom! Here you'll find tons of attractions that both will enjoy and to sprinkle a little extra Pixie Dust on the day, perhaps consider a
special tour or experience like Princess and Pirate makeovers at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for your daughter and The Pirates League for your son. Book these early, so they can spend a full day exploring the park in their new looks!
Character dining is also a must and there are many options in the parks and nearby Disney Resorts as well. My top picks would be Chef Mickey's, The Crystal Palace, and 'Ohana (breakfast only). These experiences will guarantee a delicious meal plus one on one face time with the beloved Disney characters! Character meals are popular and book quickly so be sure to book your favorite anytime after 180 days prior to your arrival.
You may also want to schedule a few days for
Water Park time and resort pool lounging since you're visiting for an extended period! I am limited by word count, but please feel free to write back and ask me questions specific to "dining" or "park activities" or anything concerning your trip and I will be happy to help you plan every moment of your magical adventure!
Best Wishes, Amanda F
