My family will be visiting WDW in the fall, and we'll be staying at Fort Wilderness. My husband and I have reserved a cabin, and our grown children will be tent camping. Can we have their magic bands programmed to unlock our cabin?

Hi Krista! Fall is my favorite time of year to be at Fort Wilderness. There is always excitement with Halloween and Christmas decorations that the guests bring to their sites.

If you have reserved one of the newly refurbished Cabins you will need to include anyone who you wish to have access on your reservation. Cabins can accommodate up to six so it can not be over that number of guests. If at the same time your children have a Campsite reservation you will need to be very careful about duplicating the names. You will not want to put the exact same name on both reservations as the Disney system says a person cannot be at two places at the same time. If you are going to add names to your reservation that allows them to have a magic band to access the cabin use middle name or initial only.

I drove into Fort Wilderness a couple of days ago and was sad to see my favorite cabin loop, 2100, was now gone. They have removed all those cabins to make room for a new premium RV loop. It used to be the best place when families had both cabin and campsite reservations as some backed up to each other.
