Our family is visiting WDW from December 26th until January 2nd. We're trying to plan ahead with packing and are wondering what the weather is like during that time of year. Are shorts/leggings okay or are jeans better for the day in the parks? Thanks!

    Hi Shanna!!!

I have actually seen the weather on both ends of the spectrum for this time of the year.  Once I was there for Christmas/New Year's and had to buy gloves and hats to keep warm and still nearly froze.  Another time I was able to wear short sleeve shirts and shorts the entire time.

Based on the averages, I would say that you would be okay with short sleeve shirts during the day and a light jacket for the evenings.  Depending on how hot or cold natured you are would depend on if jeans or shorts would be comfortable.   The average high will be around 70 and the low around 50.

I would definitely recommend checking the weather before you leave just to ensure you have packed properly!!

Please let me know if you have any other questions!!

    Have a magical day!
