Hi, my family and I will be visiting WDW this coming May. Looking at a couple of crowd calendars (the free ones) they both recommend Magic Kingdom on Sunday May 12. I’m not sure whether to go or not? The other option is Epcot.

    Hi Kimberly!

Thanks so much for stopping back by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I'm happy to help! Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is right around the corner and will be here before you know it. Now is definitely the time to finalize your itinerary so you can book your Fastpass+ reservations. And if you are staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, then your 60 day window to make those reservations is practically here!

May is such a wonderful time to visit, and I feel like the crowds are much lower then since schools are still in session. So the good news is that none of the parks should be too terribly busy that time of year. In looking at the Park Hours for May 12th, I don't see where either Magic Kingdom Park or Epcot has Extra Magic Hours for that day. So that definitely won't influence your decision. And I don't feel like either one of these is a bad choice. If anything, Epcot can sometimes be a little more crowded on the weekends since the locals like to come and enjoy the food, drinks and festivities of the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. Since that will be going on then, I would probably recommend going there another day with the hope that it will be a little less crowded. I feel sure that whichever one you choose will not be a bad choice though.

I hope this helps you with your decision. Have fun with your planning!
