My family is visiting WD the week of March 9. We are planning a stay at the GF. We are worried about the walking distances within the resort hotel. We have previously stayed at the WL and loved it. Also, wondering about the crowds during this time!

Hi Nancy.    My family and I have stayed at the Grand Floridian once before and did not find that getting around the resort was too extensive.    I am not sure if this was due to the room location we received, however, we did walk throughout the resort and found it to be fine (at least not much different from many of the other Disney resorts we have stayed at).    I think you will really enjoy the Grand Floridian, its a beautiful resort.

As for when you are visiting, I would expect crowd levels to be reasonable.   You are visiting prior to the peak season for Spring Break and prior to the Easter holidays.    Another good clue is that Disney continues to list this week as being among Great Times to Visit.   Among the factors that Disney uses is expected crowds, so with just a few months to go this is a positive sign.    Hope you enjoy your trip!
