Hi! Our family is visiting WD in February 2010. Our children our 2 and 6. We were considering booking A.K., but now thinking the Poly. as it is closer to MK and the monorail to get back to the room for naps? What do you think?

    Hi Amy,

Welcome to the Moms Panel!  I just returned from a trip, and we stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  I will tell you that the resort is stunning, the animals are amazing, and the swimming pool and playground were great amenities.  All that said, it felt extremely remote.  I did not like that our only transportation option was a bus.  What I love about the Polynesian is that I could walk to the Transportation and Ticket Center and quickly transfer over to the Magic Kingdom, or hop on the Monorail to Epcot.

So if I were weighing the same options, I would choose the Polynesian.  We love this resort, the atmosphere, the pools (we spent more time at the quiet pool than the feature pool), and the location.

    Hope this helps!
