Hi Ashley! I’m glad you came to visit us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
This is a very good question! Birthdays are always magical and fun at the Walt Disney World Resort, and if you can arrange details in advance, it is going to be the greatest celebration ever! As your family will be celebrating your son’s first birthday, I recommend that you spend this special day at Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park, which in my opinion is the best one for his age range.
I suggest you consider a character dining experience! You could go to
The Crystal Palace, a buffet restaurant, inspired by Victorian greenhouses of the last 1800’s. It’s an all-you-care-to-enjoy experience, joining Winnie the Pooh and his pals. Last year my family celebrated my girl’s birthday there, and it was awesome, we all had a great time and she, who was turning three years old, was enchanted. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dinning reservations are highly recommended; you can click
here and make them online.
You can also order a birthday cake to be delivered to the restaurant. You can choose from a variety of cakes and shapes and even some personalized for him! For more information about ordering a cake, click
here. Remember a 72-hour advance notice is required.
In addition, to make his day totally magical, by the entrance of the Park, don’t forget to request a complimentary Happy Birthday button for him!
Hope this information helps your planning! Come back again if you have more questions!
Have a magical celebration!
