    Hello, My family will be visiting Walt Disney World Resorts the first week of January. We were wondering if the PhotoPass Photographers work weekends at the Grand Floridian Resort? Thanks!

    Bonjour Lori, and a warm Canadian welcome back to planDisney!

    From the looks of it, you definitely enjoy coming back for a Walt Disney World Resort trip each January and this is of course (in my opinion) one of the wisest choices for the best time to visit - especially when it means making an escape from the winter weather in Quebec at the beginning of the year! As a Disney Vacation Club owner at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort, my husband and I come back frequently to be welcomed home in January and even got married there last year, so I'm happy to help find out what photographic opportunities you might find during your upcoming stay:

    • Disney PhotoPass Service can be found up on the second floor of the main lobby building adjacent to M. Mouse Mercantile, with a static backdrop and Cinderella's Glass Slipper to pose with though there currently aren't any posted scheduled times listed for guests to anticipate when they'd be around. The Cast Members at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa helpfully offered that the photographers may be generally available "every day between 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. (subject to change)" but over the holidays they may also be available downstairs for folks and families to take photos with the towering Christmas tree.
    • One of the photographers that I spoke with let me know that she and many others do actually prefer to pick up shifts on the weekends, but noted that at the current time it's too far out to see what schedules may be like in January. (She also recommended that your best bet would be to visit by midday for your best chances of catching someone there to take photos.)
    Here's hoping that your family will be able to take advantage of the photo opportunities at my home resort! In the meantime, you're absolutely welcome to come back to us here at planDisney much closer to your trip to see whether the Cast Members have a better idea of their scheduling for early January. Don't forget to keep an eye on the Disney Eats Foodie Guides for any festive treats at the Disney Resort Hotels that may be lingering from the holidays as you head into the new year!
