Family is visiting 6/13-6/20/09. Staying at WL. Want to plan our days and make reservations for our TS meals. Suggestions for what parks to visit certain days and a day to enjoy WL? Goal is to avoid crowds as much as possible. No PH opt on our tickets.

You are wise to begin planning your trip since you're visiting during the busy summer months!

Although the official park calendars are not up on the www.disneyworld.com website for June, one web site I like to use for crowd forecasting and special events that far out is www.touringplans.com. My visit to them this morning confirms that not only will the crowd levels be high that week, but also that the weekends on either side of your trip are Star Wars weekends. So, if you don't have an aspiring Luke Skywalker, you may want to avoid Disney Studios all-together on the weekends! And, because many families arrive over the weekend and hit the park on Sunday, a good day to enjoy Wilderness Lodge--and it's pool--would be on Sunday.

Another strategy you may want to consider is NOT to visit the parks on Early/Late Magic Hours days, especially since you don't have Park Hoppers. Our family has found that many of those staying on property will choose this park for the obvious benefit that the park is only open during special hours to those staying on-property. Plus, when you couple them with those who are coming off-property, it's a bit much with the summer crowd without a park hopper.

Lastly, my experience has been that Tuesdays tend to have lower crowds in the parks, so I like to visit the smaller parks on that day (Magic Kingdom or Disney Studios). The days on either end of the weekend (Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays), seem to sport higher crowd levels, so I like to choose Epcot, which is a larger park with wide walkways and, therefore, spreads folks out a little better.

    I hope this helps!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
