Hello! My family and I will be visiting September 15th. Since the parks are closing even earlier beginning 9/8, will there a discounted ticket or is something else being offered?

    Hi, Ariane!  Welcome to planDisney!

I'm so excited to hEAR that you will be visiting Walt Disney World Resort next month!  During the phased reopening process, things may look a bit different from what we're used to, but I know your vacation will still be just as special!  As you prepare for your trip, I recommend taking a look at the "Know Before You Go" information on the Walt Disney World website so that you'll know exactly what to expect.

To protect the health and safety of Guests and Cast Members, theme park capacity is currently being limited to promote physical distancing.  Guests wishing to visit a Walt Disney World theme park must now have a Disney Park Pass reservation along with their valid theme park admission.  While theme park tickets are not currently being discounted, I think that you will find that the lower crowd levels allow you to experience a lot more magic in a shorter amount of time.

It's always a good idea to bookmark the Special Offers, Deals & Discounts page so that you can take advantage of any deals that might be announced in the future.  In the meantime, I would look at the shortened park hours as an opportunity to explore even more of what Walt Disney World Resort has to offer.

Why not book an evening dining reservation at one of the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels?  This would be the perfect way to unwind after a day of fun at the parks.  The Dining "Know Before You Go" page has a list of all the resort hotel restaurants that are currently welcoming Guests.  For a delicious dinner with an incredible view, I would recommend either California Grill or Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera.

Visiting Disney Springs is another great evening activity.  With all of the available shopping and dining options, you could head to Disney Springs every night of your vacation and still not see and do it all!  While hours are always subject to change, Disney Springs typically stays open until 10:00 p.m., and you do not need to pay an admission price to visit this shopping and entertainment center.

If we can help you with anything else as you prepare for your trip, please visit us again.  Wishing you a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
