Hello Mary, and welcome to planDisney!
Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is coming up so soon! You must be so excited to take part in
The World's Most Magical Celebration. Let's get you all set and ready to go!
It is so important to stay hydrated when touring theme parks. I am happy to let you know that you are welcome to bring your metal water bottles with you. I used to toss disposable water bottles in my bag but didn't like how the water didn't stay cold, and I would get condensation all over my belongings. I ended up purchasing some leak-proof insulated metal water bottles for my crew and they worked great! We fill them with ice at our resort, and the water stays cold almost all day. Keep your eye out for bottle filling stations in the theme parks -- they can be found in some of the newer or recently renovated areas. You are also welcome to ask for a complimentary cup of ice or ice water at any quick-service dining location. I recommend taking a look at the list of prohibited items in the
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules; specifically, no glass containers (except for small baby food jars) or alcohol may be brought into the theme parks.
All Guests and bags will undergo
security screening prior to entering the theme parks. It is recommended that you hold items such as umbrellas, glasses cases with magnetic closures, and metal water bottles in your hand with your arm straight out in front of you, rather than keeping them in your backpack.
Mary, I am wishing you a wonderful vacation! Please feel free to stop by planDisney again with any additional questions you may have. Enjoy your visit!
