    Hi, my family will be visiting the parks next month. I will be bringing my elderly mom who loves to ride all the rides but is now having issues getting on the moving rides. Will WDW stpe the rides for her to get on and off?

    Hi, Angela!  Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    I am so happy to hEAR that your mom will be able to join you for some Walt Disney World Resort fun!  I cannot think of a better way to feel young at heart!  The Walt Disney World Resort does an excellent job of making the magic accessible to everyone.  If you have any concerns about your mom's mobility needs, I would encourage you to familiarize yourself with the Walt Disney World Resort's Services for Guests with Disabilities prior to your visit, and upon arrival at the theme parks, feel free to stop by Guest Relations if you wish to discuss any accommodations that your mother might need.

    My mother-in-law traveled to the Walt Disney World Resort with us a few years ago.  She has some pretty severe mobility needs and used an Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) during our vacation.  When accessing attractions such as The Haunted Mansion or Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin in which the ride vehicles are in constant motion, we simply explained my mother-in-law's needs to a Cast Member.  They were happy to either slow down or stop the ride vehicles in order for my mother-in-law to board and exit.  The Walt Disney World Resort website has a great guide for guests with mobility disabilities that outlines accessibility information for all of the theme park attractions.
