Hi! My family and I will be visiting the parks for the first time in September. I know this is considered the "rainy season"but we aren't afraid of getting a little wet. Do you think its necessary to have travel insurance for this reason?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Erinn!

Tut, tut, it looks like rain! But that never stopped silly old Pooh from having a good time in the Hundred Acre Wood. Erinn, just like Pooh, you can have a most magical time at the Walt Disney World Resort, even during the rainiest of days! Just be sure to pack all the rainy-day essentials like ponchos, weather-proof shoes, extra socks, and disposable zip baggies. Those can come in real handy to keep things like electronics dry and wet clothes contained.

Erinn, a rainy day should not stop you from a magical first visit. But it’s always good wisdom to add travel insurance for those things that you can’t quite plan for. September in Florida is Hurricane season. And although extremely rare that it affects regular operating hours, having travel insurance can provide peace of mind if a storm is in the forecast and you might prefer to reschedule your vacation.

During your visit, don't miss the tastiest festival in the land, the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival which kicks off August 30, 2018! Just thinking about it gives me a rumbly in my tumbly.

I hope this helps as you continue planning for your most magical visit to the most magical place on earth! Please don’t hesitate to stop by again with any additional planning questions.

    TTFN, ta ta for now!
