My family is visiting the park from 1/26/13 - 2/1/13 (travel day home). It is our first visit to DisneyWorld and I would love some help! Our children are ages 3,5 and 7 (2 older boys and my 3 yr old is a girl.) Can you advise on an itinerary?

    Hi Jennifer!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

You are visiting Walt Disney World at a great time.  The weather should be nice and cool, though you never know in January!  Also, the crowds will be low to medium.  Thus I would not plan the trip based on the expected crowds in the parks.  Instead I suggest something like the following:

    • Epcot
    • Disney's Hollywood Studios
    • Magic Kingdom
    • Disney's Animal Kingdom
    • Magic Kingdom

I wasn't sure what time you are arriving on the 26th.  If you can get to Walt Disney World before Noon that day then I would suggest visiting Disney's Animal Kingdom on that first afternoon.  Then go to Epcot the next day.  Many guests want to go to the Magic Kingdom first, but I think it is best to hold that to the middle of the trip or the end.  That is because the Magic Kingdom is the crown jewel of the Walt Disney World Resort and it can be hard for children to go from it to a theme park like Epcot.

By the way, since it is your firs time visiting, I highly recommend picking up the tour book "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal.  It is a great book for first time visitors as it is full of information but it is not overwhelming.  It is also a beautiful book full of color photographs.  It will give you a good feel for everything there is to do in Walt Disney World.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
