My family is visiting the park in late August/early September for the very first time! When will Disney publish the extra magic hours for those months. I'm anxious to coordinate our dining and park outings.

    Hi Kelly,

We've been getting a lot of question regarding the release of the park hours and schedules!  What I've learned is that Disney has transitioned to a current month plus three system for releasing their park hours.  For example right now they have the current month (February) plus the three months after (March, April & May).  So using this system, you can expect to see the August schedules sometime in May, and the September schedule will follow in June.

I hope this makes sense, I know it's hard for us planners to have such a short amount of time to pull everything together!

The one thing that I will say, having traveled often in September, is that park hours (with the exception of the Labor Day weekend), are typically shortened during this time.  It wouldn't be unusual for the Magic Kingdom to close at 7 P.M.  Don't let that scare you though, the shortened hours are a direct reflection of guest attendance, so it indicates that fewer guests are expected so you can easily see everything you want in a shorter time frame!

    Good luck!
