Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Laura!
I’m so excited to hear you’ve got an
autumn visit to the Walt Disney World Resort planned. I’m headed there in a few days (eeeeek!) and I cannot wait to see the Mickey pumpkins and fall décor all around Magic Kingdom Park. It’s truly spook-tacular!
My family really enjoys watching Magic Kingdom Park’s
Happily Ever After fireworks from the beach at
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. I adore Florida’s sunsets, and the breeze on the water, combined with sand between my toes (and a Dole Whip in my hand) give this beach all the vacation vibes. They even pipe in the show’s soundtrack!
Laura, Guests are welcome to visit Walt Disney World Resort hotels to dine, shop, or explore, and are usually welcome to
park for free for up to three hours while enjoying the resort. I have been able to park at the resort while enjoying the fireworks from the beach without having a dining reservation, but this is at the discretion of the Security Cast Member, and really depends on how busy the resort is on the night you visit. It’s possible you will be asked to park at the Transportation and Ticket Center and then take the
monorail to the resort instead. Be sure to build lots of time into your plan in case you’re asked to do this, or plan to just head straight to Magic Kingdom Park's parking lot and take the monorail.
I hope you enjoy the fireworks and your time visiting Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. The beach is fabulous, but there’s a lot to see and enjoy around the resort, so give yourself time for some exploring. Whether you decide to pick up an iconic pineapple Dole Whip at
Pineapple Lanai, or a tiki cocktail from
Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace, there are lots of delicious drinks and tasty treats to enjoy as you take in the breathtaking show. Enjoy those vacation vibes!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
