My family and I will be visiting March 10th-14th We want to visit parks the 10th&11th . But on the 12th&13th we want to watch my oldest perform at ESPN. Will our 2 day park hopper be sufficient or do I also need to purchase ESPN tickets?

Hey Howdy Hey Elizabeth and welcome to planDisney!

I love any excuse to visit Walt Disney World Resort and pairing a couple of days in the park with an exciting competition sounds like a winner to me! The ticket options that Disney offers, make selecting the right ticket easy for your resort experience so let's talk about the specifics.

Disney offers 4 options when it comes to Theme Park tickets. First is visiting one park per day and applies to theme park visits only.  The next option is the Water Park and Sports Option. This option gives you an equal number of park days and access to either a Water Park or the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex or the many golf courses and mini-golf courses. The Park Hopper option is Theme Park only with the ability to hop from your original park in the morning to any other park after 2:00 p.m. dependent on availability. The final option is the ultimate Park Hopper Plus Option. This gives you your Theme Park tickets with the Park Hopper Option as well as the Water Park and Sports Options. Considering you are visiting with the expectation to see your oldest perform, I would make sure to purchase either the Water Park and Sports Option or the Park Hopper Plus Option to ensure your access to the ESPN sports complex.

Sounds like you are already going to have plenty to do during your upcoming trip but if you have some time in EPCOT planned, I would make sure to visit EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival. So many great ways to welcome in the warmer months and the start of a new growing season. Make sure to read the Foodie Guide from Disney Parks Blog to make efficient use of your time and hit the "must-do" food options which are an attraction themselves!

Have fun with your continued planning and we cannot wait to welcome you to the Most Magical Place on Earth real soon!

    Happy planning,
