Hi Stephanie! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
With children of my own that are around the same age as your children, I know just how important it is to find the right balance of fun in the Theme Parks and fun at the pool! I found out the hard way that over scheduling your vacation may make for some difficult times. Now whenever we travel to the Walt Disney World Resort we make sure to schedule in some much needed downtime.
I have two suggestions to help you solve your dilemma. If you really are hoping to experience another Theme Park in addition to Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, my suggestion would be to visit Epcot. This Theme Park offers a lot of fun activities that the whole family can enjoy. My children love Turtle Talk with Crush,
The Seas with Nemo & Friends, and exploring the Kidcot Fun Stops located throughout World Showcase. Additionally my son meets the height requirements for Soarin and his absolute favorite attraction
Test Track. My husband and I have taken advantage of
Rider Switch on many occasions so that we both can experience the fun with my son while taking turns with my daughter.
My second suggestion would be to dedicate one day for Disney’s Animal Kingdom and two days for Magic Kingdom Park. We have found that there are so many attractions and entertainment opportunities in this park that one day just isn’t enough.
Make sure to plan for time in the pool and for plenty of afternoon rest times! The days that I have my kids take a rest are the best days that we have! Some of our best memories are the evenings that we have closed down the park!
I hope that you have an unforgettable time!
