My family and I will be visiting DW from 11th-17th April 2011. Can anyone tell me if the parks are generally busy at this time as it's the week before Easter or do the majority of people visit Easter week itself?

    Hi Nadine!

The parks are expected to be crowded the week you are coming.  However, they will be even more crowded the week after your visit.

Since things will be busy when you go, I suggest getting to the parks early.  In fact, I suggest getting to the parks at least 30 minutes before their posted opening time.  That way you can be first through the gates when it opens.  A lot of guests like to sleep in or have a more "relaxing" morning back at their hotel.  Thus I have found that I can get a lot more accomplished in the first couple of hours in the morning than I can an entire afternoon.

Also consider using a good touring plan to minimize the time you spend waiting in lines.  There are a lot of touring plans out there, but I really enjoy the plans from the team that writes the "Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World".  Their website is TouringPlans.com.  Their plans are based on a lot of math and years of data collection.  I'm a big fan of their work.

Have a magical vacation and write back if you have any more questions!
