My family is visiting DW in Oct and decided to upgrade to a moderate resort. I am trying to decide between CS or POR FQ. I hear both rooms have been upgraded. Along with my 5 & 6 year old, its my parents 1st visit. Which would you recommend and why?

    Hi Jason,

    That's a fabulous question!

Although Disney's Coronado Springs Resort has an amazing pool, excellent Mexican food, and a great deal of southwestern charm, I think Disney's Port Orleans Resort French Quarter is a much better fit for your family.  Because you will be traveling with small children and their grandparents, I think you would find a more compact resort a better choice.  French Quarter is the smallest (and in my opinion, the most charming) of the Disney moderate resorts.  No matter where your room is, you will not have far to walk between the bus stop and your room.

The pool is also perfect for young school-age children. I bet they'll enjoy sliding down the sea serpent slide into the pool.

And staying at French Quarter also affords guests the opportunity to take a lovely boat ride to Downtown Disney.  This is nice if you have anyone in your party who likes to shop or sample food from a variety of excellent restaurants.

My guess is that you and your family will just adore Disney's Port Orleans Resort French Quarter.

    Have fun!
