My family will be visiting DW MK on December 10, and I noticed on the calendar it is marked "extra hours" from 8pm-11pm. Will these extra hours include the holiday parade, snow, etc that is an additional cost to stay? And if so what is the cost?

    Hello Alison!

The extra hours you're seeing on the December calendar for Magic Kingdom Park are "Extra Magic Hours", a benefit reserved exclusively for guests of select Walt Disney World Resort Hotels.  Resort guests enjoy extra time in the parks, at no additional charge, to experience attractions and shop.  All you need to do is to present your Key to the World Card (your resort hotel key) to the Cast Members stationed at the attractions to gain access.

In order to see the special holiday parade and fireworks, you'll need to purchase a ticket to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, which is held on select nights at Magic Kingdom Park.  You can click the link to head over to the MVMCP website for party dates and to purchase tickets.  I highly recommend the party.  You'll get to see it snow on Main Street, USA, see the Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, induldge in cookies and hot cocoa, dance with Disney characters and see Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season fireworks show.  The holiday version of Wishes is worth the cost of admission alone.

Please let me know if you have any other questions about planning a magical holiday vacation.  I love the holiday season at Walt Disney World!
