My family and I will be visiting DW in May 2016! We are doing a split vacation; 3 nights at a Disney Resort Hotel and 6 nights off property. Will we receive MagicBands and can we use them for the whole 10 days? Thanks in advance!

Hi Cathy,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

While staying at a Disney Resort, each guest will receive a Magic Band either sent to your home before you arrive or at the front desk upon your arrival. The Magic band is your key to unlock the magic while at Walt Disney World! With this Magic Band, you will be able to use it as the key to your room! Also, while on or off property, your Magic Band is used for your admission into the Parks and to make purchases while on Disney property, including Disney Springs.

Tip: Link your personal credit to your Magic Band to make purchasing gifts and dining as simple as a tap of the wrist.

As long as you have purchased the 10 day park tickets, you will be able to use your Magic Band as a resort guest or staying off property.
