    Hi moms. My family is visiting DW in Dec. I was hoping you would be able to tell me how the expansion of fantasyland will affect our trip. The whole section will not be closed will it? can you tell me if you know of any rides that will not be available?

    Hi there Jodi!

    You should be just fine, while Fantasyland gets a little bit of an addition, the biggest change will be the closing of Toontown. Don't worry, all of the characters will be relocated to various parts of the Walt Disney World Resort. Goofy's Barnstormer will be closed down but is getting a new look, and will be featuring Goofy as The Great Goofini. I can't wait to ride that again with the kids! So, there should be no problem getting through the Fantasyland area during your trip. As always, just to make sure rides are open, check the Times Guide when you arrive at the Magic Kingdom for character appearance locations, parades, rides, and show times.
