    Edward from MO Asked

Hello. My family will be visiting DL for the first time ever (we have been to WDW many times) in July, and I had a question I hope you have the answers to. First of all, will capacity be reduced like it was in FL last year (25% or something close)?

    Hi Edward!

A first time Disneyland Resort awesome! Going from vacationing in Walt Disney World to Disneyland Resort should be a fun transition! I remember the first time I experienced the newness of Disneyland after growing up on the Most Magical Place on Earth. And let me tell you, it was a MAGICAL transition to go to a place where everything was a brand new experience. It really heightened my appreciation of Disney. Not to mention, it was just plain fun! I felt like a kid again as I rode Radiator Springs Racers and noticed the differences in Pirates of the Caribbean from the Florida version. Ahem, to give a nod to my fellow panelist Andres, I must admit that the Disneyland Park attraction is better than the Walt Disney World one. There, I said it!

I love that you want to figure out what the crowd levels will be like for your July vacation. Following state guidelines, Disneyland Resort is currently permitted to have 35% its normal capacity. In the future, we may see this number raised once health authorities provide more guidance, but I am unaware at this time when that will happen.

But here’s my advice to you: go have fun at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park and don’t worry about what the crowd levels might be! They will be reduced initially and for the foreseeable future, and that will make for an incredibly enjoyable park experience. So soak in the fun and the sun as you check out the Happiest Place on Earth!

A few last tips that I hope will enhance your time at Disneyland Resort. As my pal Remy says, “If you are what you eat, then I only want to eat the good stuff.” And boy, Disneyland Resort is full of the good stuff! Mobile ordering is an amazing convenience when placing orders at Quick Service restaurants. So make sure you have the Disneyland mobile app downloaded and that will be your “Little Chef” to take your mobile order and streamline the dining process. Less time in line means more time experiencing attractions, I say!
