My family is visiting DisneyWorld for the first time in Aug. Our 3 children are ages 2,6 & 8 & the 8-year old will have a birthday while there. I was wondering what is a good number of restaurants to visit at the 4 parks while we are there for 4

    Hello, Michelle!

First of all, happy birthday to the birthday princess! What a great way to celebrate her birthday, too...a family trip to Walt Disney World!

For my family, we tend to enjoy one Table-Service meal per day that we're in the parks. We'll grab something quick for breakfast (granola bar, etc.) then have either a great Table-Service lunch and Quick-Service dinner or vice-versa. If you'd like to have a character breakfast (there are so many great ones!) then make a late lunch reservation, reserving something lighter for later that evening.

Be sure to pick up a birthday button for your daughter at Guest Relations in one of the parks, too! She'll be so happy as Cast Members and Guests alike wish her a happy birthday the entire day. Should you decide to enjoy a special birthday Table-Service meal, consider ordering a specialty cake to be delivered to your table, too. What a surprise she'll have as everyone sings to her, too! Our favorite locations for birthday celebrations include Chef Mickey's and The Crystal Palace, which are both either in Magic Kingdom or near Magic Kingdom (and accessible via monorail.)

Send more questions as you think of them; I'd love to help you plan your first family trip to Walt Disney World!
