My family and I are visiting Disneyland in June of this year. We have magic bands that we used at DisneyWorld in December 2021. I am wondering if we can re-use our magic bands and load our new ticket information onto them? Or do we have to buy new ones?

    Welcome to planDisney, Aubrey.

My family and I visited the Disneyland Resort last summer and had such a fantastic time! As Walt Disney World veterans, we loved the Californian weather. It was so nice enjoying the theme parks without being a hot, sweaty mess. TMI?

Anyway, I'm excited for you. Disneyland Resort is such a charming place. Their version of Pirates of the Caribbean is vastly superior to the Walt Disney World Resort version (in my opinion). You can even eat within the attraction at Blue Bayou Restaurant. If you can secure a reservation, try the delicious Monte Cristo Sandwich. Now I'm all rumbly in my tumbly.

When it comes to MagicBands, unfortunately, only MagicBand+ works at both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. Therefore, if you have a MagicBand from 2021, you won't be able to use it on your trip. However, maybe this is a convenient excuse to upgrade to MagicBand+. You'll be able to enjoy some of the new awesome features, like haptic vibrations and colorful lights. You can even test your skills as a bounty hunter by playing Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters.

Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Aubrey!
