My family and I are visiting Disney World up until a few days before Galaxy's Edge opens. I am a Star Wars fan, will there still be Star Wars experiences (food, shows and fireworks) left in Hollywood Studios?

    Hi, Whitney!

Obi Wan Kenobi once said, "Remember...the Force will be with you, always." This is true for Star Wars fans visiting Disney's Hollywood Studios, even prior to the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.  There are currently many Star Wars experiences offered at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  While offerings at the Walt Disney World Resort are always subject to change, as of right now, I have not heard of any of these experiences going away anytime soon.

During your visit to Disney's Hollywood Studios, be sure to take a ride in a Starspeeder 1000 on Star Tours - The Adventures Continue.  This unpredictable attraction will take you to many familiar locations throughout the Star Wars galaxy.  Since there are many different combinations of adventures that occur on this attraction, it is definitely one you will want to experience again and again.  When you exit the attraction, be sure to spend some time browsing through the Star Wars souvenirs and memorabilia at Tatooine Traders.

For me, no visit to Disney's Hollywood Studios is complete without a hug from Chewbacca.  At Star Wars Launch Bay, guests can encounter several Star Wars characters and view exhibits containing costumes, scenes, and movie props from the Star Wars saga.  You can also catch a glimpse of some of your favorite Star Wars characters during the show, Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away, which is performed several times throughout the day. You might even need to move aside as Captain Phasma leads her stormtroopers up Hollywood Boulevard during the March of the First Order.

If you have younglings ages 4 to 12 in your travel party, you may wish to sign them up to participate in Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple.  During Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple, children will learn how to use the Force to face off against the Dark Side.  Spots to participate in these shows are limited, so be sure to sign up in the morning as soon as the park opens.

Be sure to end your evening with Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular, an epic fireworks, laser, and projection show featuring iconic scenes from your favorite movies.  Attending Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party will give you access to a reserved viewing area for this show, as well as many delicious Star Wars themed treats.

If you do not see these experiences listed for dates during your visit, fear not, for fear is the path to the Dark Side. Events are often not listed on the Walt Disney World website until much closer to the date, so keep checking back.

May the Force be with you!
