My family and I are visiting Disney World July 1st-4th. Since this is going to be a very hot month to visit, I was wondering when is the best time to see the animals in Animal Kingdom. We don't want to see nothing while they hide in the shade!

    Linda:

Although many folks head to the very-popular Expedition Everest when they get to Animal Kingdom, our family makes a bee-line to the Kilamanjaro Safaris!

The earlier you can see the animals the better, as they move more in the morning, but by the heat of the day at lunch, tend to lounge under the brush or submerge themselves in the water!  You might want to consider going to Animal Kingdom for Early Magic Hours on your departure day (going by the calendar here).

Another thought: if you find yourself facing a forecast of rain during your trip, head to Animal Kingdom instead of Downtown Disney's movies or DisneyQuest!  Wet weather livens up our wild friends, no matter what time of the day!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
