My family and I will be visiting Disney World in December. My youngest will be a few weeks shy of 3 years old. Would he be able to ride any rides with us or do we have to do a parent swap?

    Hi, Sandra!

    Welcome back!

December at Walt Disney World is my absolute favorite! The weather is beautiful and mild and the decorations are gorgeous!

At the four Walt Disney World theme parks, attractions or rides, are designated by height. So, if your soon to be 3 year old is tall enough for a ride, he is more than welcome to join in the magic with the entire family. I like to browse through the list of attractions and select the height range that my toddlers fit. From there, I can determine which rides they can join in with everyone.

There are plenty of rides at each park that you and your toddler can enjoy together. As you are browsing the attractions, take a peak at those that are listed as "Any Height." Those attractions will allow you and your little one to have some fun together! Rides such as Toy Story Mania, its a small world, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, the Kilimanjaro Safaris, and Buzz LIghtyear's Space Ranger Spin are just a few of the attractions that everyone can enjoy together!

If there are attractions that you would like to experience, and your toddler isn't quite tall enough for such as Space Mountain at the Magic Kingdom or Expedition Everest at Disney's Animal Kingdom, rider swap would be best for you, if there is someone else in your party to wait around with your little one!

Wishing you magic on your upcoming holiday vacation!

    Happy planning
