My family and I are going to be visiting Disney World in December (Yay!!) will they still be using boarding groups for Rise of the Resistance or are they going to move to Fast Passes by then?

Hello, Ryan! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It's great to chat with a fellow Pennsylvanian planning your December vacation.

Ryan, if you haven't yet visited Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, buckle up for a transportive experience that is out of this galaxy. Walking into this land for the first time, my jaw nearly hit the floor and that feeling definitely happened again on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.

To your question about experiencing Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance by joining a Boarding Group, there has been no announcement (as of today) that this attraction will be moving into the Fastpass+ lineup. While it's not impossible that this could happen before your trip, for planning purposes, I would assume that you'll need to access the virtual queue. A benefit of Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance remaining only accessible through a Boarding Group is that you can also make three Fastpass+ reservations, like Slinky Dog Dash, for your day at Disney's Hollywood Studios, prior to your trip!

If you find that you're hungry while on the planet of Batuu, stop by Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo to refuel before your next mission. This is a great use of a Quick-Service entitlement if you're using a Disney Dining Plan and I especially liked the Endorian Fried Chicken Tip Yip. If you only need a drink or a quiet place to hide out from the Stormtroopers, check out Oga's Cantina, where Rebels are welcome.

Ryan, I hope this helps as you are dreaming about your days at the Walt Disney World Resort. My family and I visited the Most Magical Place on Earth in December and were in awe of the holiday decorations and special touches at all four parks. In particular, Disney's Hollywood Studios, was decked out in vintage decor that was picture perfect!

Best wishes for an unforgettable trip. Come on back and see us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any other vacation questions you might have!
