My family and I are visiting Disney World in April. My kids received gift cards for the trip. I was wondering if I am able to link them to their magic bands and how to do that.

Hi Kate! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

This is such a great question and one that I hear very often! We too use a lot of Disney Gift Cards for our vacations to the Walt Disney World Resort. Our friends and family know that they can’t go wrong getting the kids and I Disney Gift Cards for holidays, birthdays, and other miscellaneous celebrations. We even find ourselves purchasing gift cards well in advance of our vacations as it makes budgeting easier for us!

Unfortunately as of my last visit you were not able to link your MagicBands to Disney Gift Cards. However what we do is link our Credit Card to our account. We then charge all of our purchases using the MagicBands. The last night of our vacation we take our Disney Gift Cards to the Front Desk of our Resort hotel and have the Cast Member apply the Gift Cards to the charges on our account. It has worked very well for us in the past!

I hope that I have helped to answer your question! Please feel free to come back and see us real soon! We love helping guests just like you!
