My family of 5 will be visiting Disney for a week for my youngest daughter's birthday this month. While we have many special things planned for our birthday girl, do you have any suggestions to make our other two children (11 & 14) feel "extra spe

    Hello Michelle,

I think birthdays at Disney World can be so magical. But you know what...every day can be spectacular there too! So your older children don't have to feel left out just because it's your youngest child's birthday. A few things I think would be great include:
    • Let them "explore" the BoardWalk and enjoy the street performers one evening while you relax by the Bakery. They'll feel oh-so-grown up!
    • Have Pixie Dust sprinkled in their hair at the Harmony Barber Shop.
    • Challenge them to eat the Kitchen Sink at Beaches and Cream Soda Shop.

Most importantly, let your oldest children assist in the decision making when you arrive on property. Letting them help guide what to do while on vacation will let them know this is truly a family trip!

    Hope this helps!

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
