My family will be visiting Disney this summer. I have a 8 yr.old boy. I was wondering about the hidden Mickeys. Would he enjoy it and how do we get started. Also, I have a 12 yr.daughter, any ideas for her too. We will be going to all 4 parks. Thanks!!

Woo-hoo!  My first hidden Mickey question!  We are HUGE followers of hidden Mickeys:  unofficial placements of Mickeys throughout Walt Disney World.  For example, in the Haunted Mansion dining room scene, the table is set with a dinner plate and two smaller plates toward the top that resemble Mickey.  Similar Mickeys are sprinkled throughout all of Walt Disney World, and you and your children (mine all love looking, so I'd hope your 12 year old would like it as well) can just look on your own, but you may find this website helpful to get started:  www.hiddenmickeys.org . Also, Steven M. Barrett has published a book on hidden Mickeys that is now in its 3rd edition.
Your older daughter may enjoy some of the other activity books for WDW such as Passporter's Treasure Hunts at Walt Disney World and Walt Disney World Trivia Book.  These books are small and easy to carry to the parks, too.  Happy Hunting for those Mickeys!
