My family will be visiting Disney soon and are extremely excited. We have booked several character meals. Can you please tell me if you can order a child's meal from the children's menu even though you have to pay the adult price? Thanks so much!

    Hi Stephanie!

My son and I just love Character Meals because you get such quality one on one time with the characters in a relaxed setting not to mention the food is amazing as well.  So there are two different types of Character Meals at Walt Disney World; buffet meals and order what you want meals.  For buffet meals you have to pay the price for the age group regardless of what you eat.  For an example, an adult for a buffet meal is currently considered to be ages 10 and above, so you would have to pay that adult price for your child 10 and older.

If your character meal is type of order what you want meal, then you can choose a kids meal and pay only the price of the kids meal. Anyone, even adults, can order a kids meal in Walt Disney World and pay the kids meal price as long as it is not a buffet type of dining.  I have done this many times because my son doesn't always like what is on the adult menu and I have even ordered from the kid's menu if I saw something that I really liked!

Hope you have some Magical Character Meals on your trip to Walt Disney World!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
