Hi my family and I will be visiting Disney in September. I have recently developed trouble with my knee. Someone suggested using a ride on scooter. Do you know if Disney allows this in the parks and if so can you suggest a reputable scooter company?

Hiya Kim and welcome back to planDisney!

Did you fact-check my tip about showtimes in your My Disney Experience app from our last chat? That app really is one of the best tools in your Mouseketool box. I'm sorry to hear about your knee trouble. Aches and pains are certainly unmagical. But a magic carpet awaits you to take you to a whole new world of possibilities. An ECV or Electric Conveyance Vehicle is exactly the ride you need to keep you on the go for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

You can of course rent an ECV inside the theme parks at locations right up near the front of each park. If you decide to go this route, know that those ECVs must be returned to that location before leaving that park. If you're looking for something to use for the entire length of your trip, you could always reach out to ScooterBug. They're a Disney Featured Provider and bring you a set of wheels right to your Disney Resorts Collection hotel and return to pick it up at the end of your stay.

Kim, there's no need to worry. Even with this new challenge, you'll still be able to enjoy all the magic you're accustomed to. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back for another chat!

    Happy planning!
