My family will be visiting Disney in October and I was wondering if there was any way I could see traffic patterns of people over the years? Do the fireworks and the show of the castle happen every night? Would it be cheaper to buy tickets now or closer?

    Hi Brittini!

By historical traffic patterns, I'm assuming you mean how crowded a park has been on specific nights over the years.  The best place to go for information like this is the independent website TouringPlans.com.  That's the website for the "Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World".  The research team has years of collected data on the crowd levels in the parks, historical wait times, etc.  Even better, however, is they make predictions for the future.  Their predictions are based on all of that research and a lot of math.  As an engineer, I'm a big fan of their work.

With regards to buying tickets, historically Disney generally raises prices during the summer.  So it might make sense to purchase them now for a trip in October.  Just be sure to not lose them!

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
