Hi, My family and I will be visiting Disney 2/23-2/24. I haven't been in a while and it is my daughter's first time. What tips do you have for first timers (kids) and what apps do you feel are a must while visiting the park.

    Welcome to planDisney, Jackie!

I am so excited for you and your family to be visiting the Disneyland Resort in just a few days!

Let's begin with technology! Download the Disneyland Mobile App to your phones. I recommend exploring the app before your trip so that you become familiar with it. And don't forget to link your tickets to the app!

Since you mentioned that you have not visited in a while, I recommend exploring what's new, while also revisiting the classics.

You will want to check out Star Wars: Galaxy’s EdgeThis is the newest land at Disneyland Park and is not-to-be-missed! There are two attractions, 1) Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and 2) Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. The first attraction has a Lightning Lane available when you purchase Disney Genie +. The second attraction is available as an Individual Lightning Lane--think of it as an "à la carte" purchase. If you are a thrill-seeker and a fan of Star Wars, I highly recommend experiencing this attraction!

Tip: to end your nights, I recommend watching both of the new nighttime spectaculars, Wondrous Journeys and World of Color - ONE. No spoilers here, but you might shed a tear!

At Disney California Adventure Park, my favorite land for kids is Cars Land! It is so immersive and grand yet feels so quaint. One of my favorite rides, Radiator Springs Racers is located there and is one of the best attractions at the resort!

The newest area at the park, Avengers Campus is fantastic for fans of MARVEL. One of the best parts of this land is the character encounters and the shows! For attractions, kids will love WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure. There is no height requirement and is fun for all ages!

    Final tips:

    • Rest throughout the day, especially if you plan to be there late.
    • Take a ride on the Disneyland Railroad.
    • Grab a Dole Whip at the Tiki Juice Bar and then head into Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room.
    • Pick up a "1st Visit" button for your daughter (available at many retail locations!)
    • Don't try to do everything. One of the best activities is sitting and enjoying the atmosphere.
Jackie, I hope this information is useful to you. I am so excited for you and your loved ones to visit the Happiest Place on Earth!

    Your Pal,
    Alejandra
