My family will be visiting Disney the begining of May, and we will be there 5 days. We are staying on Disney property and will spend 2-3 days at the parks. My question is about how much $ can I expect to spend on food for my family of 4 each day?

    Hello Brandy!

This is one of those questions that can easily vary between families. I love to eat so my cost would probably be much more than some. When I am planning a vacation, I like to use a standard number which is a little bit more than typical but doesn't take into effect certain additional expenses such as dining location, adult beverages, and tips. We all know those three factors could add much more to meals.

For Snacks, I like to say about $5 per person.
For Breakfast I usually use $8 - $10 per person.
For Lunch I use $12 per person.
For Dinner I use $30 per person.

Some days, we may not eat breakfast and lunch in one day or we may eat a late breakfast and then a late counter service and no dinner. As you can see, the math kind of gets all messed up. So what I suggest is, try to figure out where you will be dinning or get an idea of the meals you will be eating and plug in some of these numbers. I would add more to it to be sure that you have more than enough to get by... If you are on a budget, I would suggest going to Mousesavers.com and checking possible bargains at the parks. It's a great source of information!
