My family is visiting California the first week in May from Texas. Are we allowed to visit Disneyland during this time?

    Hello there, Kristina!

Welcome, and thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your question. As a lifelong Californian myself, I can tell you that spring is a beautiful time of year here in the Golden State!

I know that so many of us are eager to visit the Happiest Place on Earth! As you may have heard, the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort is open now with select retail and dining locations available to Guests. The two Disneyland Resort theme parks are planning to officially reopen at the end of April with limited capacity. However, only California residents who hold a valid admission ticket and a theme park reservation will be able to visit Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park at that time, per current health and safety guidelines from the state.

Please keep an eye on disneyland.com and the Disney Parks Blog for up-to-date information as your trip approaches. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that your family can experience some pixie-dusted Disney magic while you’re here! Don’t hesitate to send more questions our way as you continue planning, Kristina. We’d love to help!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
