Hello, my family and I will be visiting S. CA 12/27-1/4. We are visiting San Diego and LA and thought about stopping at Disneyland for a day or 2 in the middle, maybe even NYE day. Are there any days that the crowds are somewhat manageable that week?

    Happy Holidays, Lori!

Spending a day or two at the Disneyland Resort during the Holidays sounds absolutely wonderful! Generally, the week between Christmas and the New Year is the most popular time of year to visit the Disneyland Resort. And it’s no wonder! With the beautiful Holiday decor, seasonal treats, limited-time attraction overlays, and exciting Holiday entertainment, the Holidays literally shine with joy at the Merriest Place on Earth!

New Year’s Eve usually sees the most visitors at the Disneyland Resort at that time of year. Some may find increased visitor levels overwhelming. But I’ve found that, with some planning, visiting the Disneyland Resort during very popular times can be exhilarating and memorable. It is thrilling to be involved in special celebrations with a community of fellow Disney Parks guests.

Typically, New Year’s Eve comes with additional activities that are only available that one night. If those are the types of events you might be interested in, I’d encourage you to consider attending. But if you would prefer to visit during calmer times, days furthest from Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve are likely to have somewhat fewer visitors.

Regardless of when you choose to visit, I hope you have a magical time, Lori. See ya real soon!
