    Susan from IL Asked

My family is visiting CA from IL December 24 thru January 1. We would love to be able to spend Christmas Day in Disneyland. How can we stay on top of when non-CA residents are allowed to visit? And when tickets will be available?

    Hi Susan,

Thank you for taking the time to send your question to us here at planDisney, we are always happy to help!  I can't imagine a more magical place to spend Christmas day than at Disneyland Resort, you will certainly make plenty of memories with your family.

As of right now, Disneyland Resort is open for California Residents due to current state guidelines and will reopen to out of state and international guests at a later date.  While we are still waiting to hear from Disney about when other guests will be able to visit Disneyland Resort, I recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog as well as the official Disneyland Resort website for the most up to date information and any new announcements.

When purchasing Theme Park Tickets it will ask you to confirm that you are a California Resident prior to your purchase.  Personally, I would wait until there is an official announcement from Disney with regard to a timeline for out of state guests in order to purchase your Theme Park Tickets. Once an official announcement is made, you can purchase your Theme Park Tickets and book your Theme Park Reservations with confidence that you will be able to enter into a Theme Park.  When the time comes to purchase your Theme Park Tickets, check the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar before your purchase to ensure your date is still available.

I hope you are able to visit Disneyland Resort over the holiday season, Susan.  Please come back to planDisney with any other questions, we are here to help in any way we can.
