Our family will be visiting in August of this year. We plan to stay for 9 days from the 1st thru the9th. Our children are 11, 14, 16, 21, & 23. We are looking at resort hotels to stay and would like to know which is best accommodating our family. Thank

    Hello, Stacie,

Since you are a group of 7 guests, you might want to consider staying at a 2 bedroom villa at any of the Deluxe Villa Resorts.  These resorts are located throughout all of Walt Disney World. My family likes Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort the best with its close proximity to the Magic Kingdom (you can walk there) and that the rooms have 3 bathrooms. Similarly, Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge also has 2 bedroom villas that have 3 bathrooms, too. Disney's Beach Club Villas and Disney's Boardwalk Villas are located within walking distance of both Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios (this is a longer walk) and have easy access to all the evening activities at Disney's Boardwalk that your children may enjoy as they are older. Another perk of the Deluxe Villas is that you'll have a living space in addition to the bedrooms, a full size kitchen, and a washer/dryer.

If you'd prefer a resort with a different budget option, you could opt to get two connecting rooms at any of the resorts. Since your children are older, they may be spend a lot more time at the parks and very little time in the rooms. Therefore, a Value Resort might be a good pick to have a resort with all the Disney Magic, but not as costly. if you'd prefer more amenities, Moderate Resorts have a few more perks and the Deluxe Resorts have even more and are much closer to at least one of the parks.

I'd visit the different resort sites and start to explore which matches your budget and tastes best. As you explore and have more questions or narrow down your choices, please let us know how we can help further. -Kara
