Hey, Jania!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We, like you did the Walt Disney World Resort theme park warrior route and then wanted to change it up a bit so we investigated
tours. Here are some suggestions that I think your 11-year-old adventurer will enjoy without spoiling the Disney magic.
At Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, the
Wild Africa Trek is the best tour for up close encounters with hippopotamuses, giraffe, and crocodiles. It was an unforgettable experience and perfect for your pre-teen. My sons (8 and 13 years old) had a wonderful time with our Safari Guides.
Disney's Family Magic Tour places a mystery before you to solve with intricate riddles to challenge the mind. This low-cost adventure is for the family and will surely have you all over Magic Kingdom Park.
At Epcot, go
Behind the Seeds and see state-of-the-art horticulture techniques. The tour takes you through the Living with the Land attraction. Where else can you see gigantic fruit or plants grown without soil? The ladybug encounter will introduce your inquisitive 11-year-old to the super power of bugs...the ultimate plant protectors.
Disney Dad Tip: If huntin' fer treasure be excitin' then cast ye sails 'n enroll in a
Pirate Adventure Cruise. Thar be four options fer young buccaneers who be seekin' buried treasure. Pirate legends be bountiful as ye search fer th' hidden treasure.
Jania, enjoy making many Magical Memories!
