Hello! My family is vacationing at POR. How long does it take (by bus & by boat) to get from POR to MK, EPCOT, & HS? Just trying to plan travel time and ADRs! Thank you!

    Hi Jonelle,

Port Orleans Riverside is one of my favorite resorts. My family loves its laid-back feel, its theme and its proximity to the theme parks and Disney Springs. The complimentary Walt Disney World buses arrive at the resort about every 20 minutes. Once you board a bus, it will take about 10 to 20 minutes to Magic Kingdom, Epcot or Hollywood Studios, a little longer for Animal Kingdom.

Even though it doesn't usually take this long, I like to allow at least an hour to travel to a dining reservation in one of the theme parks, keeping in mind that you need to allow time to pass through security screening and get to the restaurant. I'd much rather arrive a few minutes early, with time to relax and freshen up before dinner, than to rush and worry about being late.

Did you know, Jonelle, that Port Orleans also offers water taxi service to Disney Springs? That's another of my favorite features of the resort. The water taxi takes you on a leisurely ride down the Sassagoula River to all the dining, shopping and entertainment at Disney Springs.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Please let us know if you'd like suggestions for dining reservations throughout the Walt Disney World resort. We're always here to help.

Enjoy your stay at Port Orleans Riverside!
