My family and I will be vacationing to Disney August 2017. We're staying at CBR and we currently have a standard room. What's the difference in the standard and water view room and is it worth the extra money.

    Hello Tenisha,

It's so great to hear that you have begun your planning process for next summer's trip! I am glad to hear you are getting a head start on your research and planning. Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is a fun and playful place to stay with its tropical island feel.

A standard room typically faces a parking lot or wooded area rather than a pool or Barefoot Bay, the central lake of the resort. These rooms may also be toward the backs of these buildings which can be more removed from centrally located paths leading to Old Port Royale, where you will find the food court and Shutters at Old Port Royale, the table service dining location. On the other hand, the bus stops are typically near the parking areas, so those standard rooms might be closer to the bus stops. The rooms themselves are the identical inside. So, in my opinion and experience, we do not necessarily feel the upgrade to a "water view" is worth it for our family.

I hope this helps clarify the difference so that you can make the best decision for your family and budget. Feel free to stop back by with more questions or to get more tips and suggestions. We love helping guests make the most of their magical vacations.
