My family of 5 would like to vacation at WDW for the first time this coming May. That's in 4 months. Is it possible to plan a good (first time) vacation in such short time or should we find a different date?

Hi Kristy - my family loves visiting Walt Disney World in May.  The weather is generally warm but not too hot, and the parks aren't overly crowded.  I do think that you can still plan a great trip in four months.

First, I'd settle on dates and make dining reservations.  Keep in mind that most people try to make reservations 6 months out, so some really popular places may be booked up.  If that happens, don't be discouraged.  You can keep trying, because cancellations do occur.

Next, book flights and hotel.  I'm not sure if you've decided on which resort you'd prefer, so come back here to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel if you'd like some advice on that.  We can also help you find those must-see attractions for your family if you provide more information on the ages of your kids.

    I hope that helps!
