Disney Vacation Club Member! I'm delighted to hear that you'll be enjoying a summer vacation at
Disney's Vero Beach Resort, and I'll be happy to help out with some tips to make your beachside getaway practically perfect.
The Vero Beach resort is just a hop, skip, and a jump from
Walt Disney World Resort, and it's truly a gem. It has everything you could hope for, combining all the fun of being at the beach with Disney touches around every corner. We visited for the first time two years ago, and I can't wait to go back! The
pool is outstanding (and Mickey Mouse-shaped!), and the
spa is top-notch.
Kathryn, I'm happy to report that you most certainly can bring your own beach chairs and gear when you visit in June. Guests at the resort can also rent boogie boards, jet skis, kayaks, sailboats, or banana boats for some extra adventure! I also recommend swinging by
Eb & Flo's if you're interested in renting bikes to explore the area.
The resort is also very well-known for its efforts to support the
sea turtle population. We loved talking with the Disney Conservation Team Wildlife folks, who monitor the nests on the beach and are always willing to offer up some knowledge about the turtles!
