My family vacation includes DPP. We have a few buffets in mind like Akershus for breakfast and Ohana for dinner but, I don't see anything on the menu that my 6 year old son will eat. Can I request something else for my child at these buffets?

Hi Kristin! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

It sounds like you have been checking out some delicious and fun options for meals at the Walt Disney World Resort! As a mom of two picky eaters, I understand your concern! It can be exhausting trying to get your kiddo to eat something new.

On our last trip, we enjoyed an incredible dinner at 'Ohana in Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. When you are sitting there, eating such tasty dishes, it's hard to imagine that anyone wouldn't love that meal ... and yet my kids wouldn't eat anything! We spoke with a Cast Member and he worked a little behind-the-scenes magic and gave us some very kid-friendly options. I can't remember all of the choices, but think along the lines of grilled cheese, chicken tenders, hamburgers, etc. It made our time together much more pleasant!

My suggestion is to speak with a Cast Member when you arrive and tell them about your situation. They can let you know what your options are. If all else fails, you can always pick up a snack after leaving the restaurant for your son to munch. My kids are ALWAYS up for a Mickey-shaped pretzel!

Please visit us again with any other questions you may have! Happy eating!
