My family and I (4 of us) are visiting in March. We plan on staying 7 days. We have purchased the meal plan and parks tickets already. We will be staying on the Disney resort. How much spending money should we bring?

    Hi Shannon,

The exact amount of money you'll need depends a bit upon your spending habits in general. However, I can tell you some of the things that you'll need to have in your budget.

Tips: Gratuities are NOT included on the Disney Dining Plan. You will need to tip your server out of pocket at all table service restaurants. Other situations where you'll tip are valet parking (if used), luggage assistance, and housekeeping,

Internet fees: If used at a value resort.

Alcohol: Adult beverages are not included in the Disney Dining Plan.

Recreation: Boat or bike rental, tours, sports, etc.

Entertainment: Cirque du Soliel, movies, water parks or DisneyQuest

Souvenirs: Plush toys cost $20-30, child tee's cost about $20, adult tee's cost $20-40, trading pins cost $6-15

Child care: Either at the Disney centers or in-room sitting.

Miscellaneous: PhotoPass, stroller rental, forgotten toiletries, etc.

You may want to look at an article I wrote for an independent website blog.touringplans.com called "Trip Planning 101: Budgeting for Your Trip to Walt Disney World." This lists all the categories where you may spend money at Walt Disney World.
