Hi, Kathy! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
I am so excited to hEAR that you are planning for your grandson's first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort; it is sure to be a
grand adventure! Be sure to ask a Cast Member at your
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel or at any
Guest Relations location for a "First Visit" button for your grandson to wear. You never know what kind of pixie dust you'll experience when you wear your special celebration buttons.
"it's a small world" is the perfect first attraction for the littlest Mouseketeers. I think it is a great idea to take some photos to help you relive this special moment for years to come. There is no photo taken by
Disney PhotoPass Service on this particular attraction, so you will need to use your own camera. It might be difficult to take a posed photo of your entire family once you have boarded your "it's a small world" boat. Cast Members need to keep the attraction loading and unloading process moving along, so there might not be time to pose for a group picture. I would recommend you ask another guest to take a photo of your whole family as you enter the attraction queue, with the attraction loading area in the background. Also, as long as you do not use your flash, you may take photos and videos while on the attraction. So be sure to snap plenty of selfies with your family and take lots of pictures of your grandson's reaction as he takes in the delightful sights and sounds of this classic attraction.
Although there is no Disney PhotoPass photographer at "it's a small world," you can find photographers in numerous other locations all over the Walt Disney World Resort. I would highly recommend purchasing
Memory Maker so that you can download all of your photos and relive the magical moments that you are sure to experience on this vacation.
Have a magical day!
Samantha
